diaspora emergency activation

El Frente Activates Emergency Protocol

In response to the ongoing earthquakes impacting the southwestern part of Puerto Rico and other critical issues across the island including the Coronavirus (COVID-19), El Frente and allied organizations have conducted  fundraisers beginning on Sunday, Jan 12 where we raised $5,544 at Overthrow NYC.  We plan to continue fundraising efforts to advance our work and to support grassroots organizations doing great on the ground work.  While the government continues to fail us, our people, in the diaspora and in the motherland, continue to rise to the challenge.  It's up to us to take care of us!  Pa'lante!

Areas of Focus and Money Allocation

As we allocate funds we collect, we will be considering these five areas of concern:

Emergency first response supplies and shipping costs

Psychological support

Medical

Children and children services

Reconstruction
